Faithfull spokeshaves have virtually unbreakable malleable iron bodies, with the cutting blade held securely in place by a lever cap, and two retaining screws. The cutter is fully adjustable and can be finely set for delicate work.
The flat spokeshave is primarily used for chamfering and cutting convex shapes in wood whereas the round spokeshave is used for cutting concave shapes.
Length: 250mm (10in).
Cutter width: 54mm (2.1/8in).

I have recently upgraded to this Spokeshave, which has a fully adjustable blade, from one that I bought many many years ago that is rather fiddly trying to get the blade adjusted. I had to open a butterfly nut and slide the blade around trying to get it parallel with the face and at the right depth of cut before tightening the nut. To achieve the same on this Faithfull Spokeshave all I have to do is to slacken the lock nut and adjust the two adjustment screws and then re-lock the nut. I highly recommend this Spokeshave for ease of use and build quality and will be buying the curved/concave version soon.
