HSS Step Drills

Step drills are used for cutting varying hole sizes in material up to 4mm thick without changing the drill bit. Each drill cuts parallel holes within a specific size range, rising in 2mm increments.

Made from HSS (High Speed Steel).

These step drill bits have sharp cutting edges and are designed for drilling stepped holes in thin sheet materials only. Incorrect use may result in injury.

To reduce the risk of injury:
- Always wear eye protection.
- Securely clamp the workpiece. Do not hold sheet material by hand while drilling.
- Keep hands, clothing, hair, and jewellery away from rotating tools to avoid entanglement.
- Use the correct speed setting. Excessive RPM can cause overheating, snatching, or bit damage.
- Allow the bit to cool after use. The cutting edges become hot during drilling.
- Ensure the bit is firmly tightened in the drill chuck before operation.
