Hardwood front and rear tote handle kit with bolt and brass nuts for bench planes.

The rear handle has two screw holes.and will fit No.5, No.6, No.7 and No10 Faithfull Planes.
The base of the handle will need to be shortened and a new hole drilled to fit No.4 Planes.
May fit other manufacturers planes with modification.

All screws threads are 7/32in-20tpi Whitworth.

Will they fit a Stanley plane?

These handles will probably need to be modified slightly to fit a Stanley plane.

The tote handle has a 2 screw attachment. Some Stanley planes have 2 screws and some have 1 screw and a locating pin.

To fit a 2 screw plane, the front hole may not be in the right place and may need to be elongated to line up correctly.

To fit a 1 screw plane, a hole will need to be drilled on the bottom of the handle for the locating pin. This will leave a redundant screw hole that will need to be filled.

There have several variations of screw thread used over the years. The screws provided with this set will fit some of the UK made vintage Stanley planes. Modern Stanleys may have a smaller M6 thread. In this case, the planes original screws should be used.
