HSS Thread Cutting Dies

Faithfull HSS Straight Flute Split Dies are used to cut a male thread to match its equal and opposite female tapped hole thread. They are manufactured to ISO529 standard and are suitable for hand or machine cutting.

The die's tolerance can be adjusted by turning a fine pitch screw which forces the sides of the die apart, or allows them to spring together.

All dies should be used with the corresponding rod size e.g. M8 die with M8(8mm) rod to ensure both cutting ease and thread efficiency.

Suitable for use on mild steel, copper, brass and aluminium.

Always wear appropriate eye protection whilst in use.
An appropriate cutting fluid should be used to maintain a cool cut.
To avoid jamming please ensure dies are relieved of pressure and reversed periodically.
