This handy kindling or stick chopper features a long straight blade that is ideal for splitting small logs, thin timber or planks to make kindling for the fire and is ideal for use at home or on the campsite. Comfortable wooden handle fitted with a 180mm forged steel blade.

As received it wouldn't cut butter never mind small sticks. Once sharpened it turned out to be extremely useful and comfortable to use. Nice little, well balanced tool

Picked this tool up at my local DIY shop in Wick. It is absolutely superb for chopping kindling sticks far better than an axe.

How wide is the back edge of the blade, opposite the cutting edge?

The back edge of blade is 7.5mm wide.

Blade thickness: 7.5mm

As above, however note the blue as supplied is extremely blunt (no edge) and needs sharpening (as an axe or hatchet) before use.
