Charlie Mann “relishing the challenge” on the first-weekend race of the Brscc National Formula Ford championship.
Charlie Mann started his first-weekend race of the season at a challenging Snetterton circuit, and after extensive setup changes to the car and some beautiful weather to greet, he was back on the track clocking some encouraging times and qualifying with a 9th-place podium position.
“Friday testing started well and although we still had time to find, we had made progress since our last race weekend at Silverstone. Snetterton is a very long track with both fast and slow corners and with the car still understeering we knew it was going to be a challenge to stay close to the front pack.”
With progress to be made and spurred on by the challenge to push further up the pack, team Mann defiantly forced their way to a P6 finish in race 1, a P5 finish in race 2, and a P8 finish in race 3, capping off a solid start to the season with lots to build on.
“Overall, a great weekend. It was great to see so many supporters at the weekend providing encouragement. I really enjoy driving the car and thrive on the challenge we face to close the gap to the front. I think the team has learned a lot again this weekend as we prepare the car and make further changes for our next race weekend.”
Keep an eye out as Faithfull Tools will be following Charlie’s progress all the way, we can’t wait to see what the next race has in store!
