These specialist hammers are the most commonly used tools for dressing and cleaning bricks.
The double scutch version has comb slots at both ends to fit replaceable one inch scutch combs or chisel bits (droves).

Tried a few different double ended scutch hammers over the years , but this has to be my favourite. Very light weight and strong . The only bad thing I will say is where you put the in blades / teeth it could be made bigger as struggle to get the teeth/ blades in. And have to use a metal grinder to open up the gape. Apart from that it’s a great hammer use it every day at work.
